Area Manager

Job DescriptionAs an Area Manager you will be responsible to lead, motivate and engage a route service team to safely deliver world class customer service and sales growth (profitability).
This leader ensure efficient route operations that best leverage all assets and resources available.
This position is responsible to lead the execution of performance and operational goals focused in the areas of safety, people, service, quality, cost and growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible to lead execution of delivery and service standards to ensure a high quality customer experience through efficient route operations.
May lead one or more profit centers, which may be in one or more physical locations.
Execute and enforce safety standards within the Depot.
Drive accountability for safe behaviors by coaching team members.
Identify and remove risks and participate in accident investigations.
Lead people management and development for the location including a disciplined approach to recruiting, training, coaching, performance management and retention.
Demonstrate focus on effective talent selection, hiring and successful on-boarding of new team members.
Ensure successful customer service delivery as well as recovery when things do not go as planned.
Serve as local point of contact for customer service communications & follow-up, coordination with the call center and overall issue resolution.
Manage route productivity and asset/resource utilization.
Lead sales performance within a territory of approximately $3-$6 million per year and may oversee more than one location.
Maintains productive route structure by ensuring effective work hours and expectations are met as well as route sequence integrity.
Effectively cascades key messages on areas of focus and strategic priority for the business and helps the team through changes.
Partners with the Warehouse Manager on management of fleet assets for the location.
Ensures compliance with Pre & Post Trip, inspections, utilization, PM schedule, repair/maintenance, breakdown of pick-up, etc.
Conducts essential administrative duties such as payroll, banking, equipment support, resource scheduling, and daily reporting.
Frequently reviews financial reporting/KPI's to make informed decisions on cost controls, route productivity, product inventory controls, maintenance of assets, depot supplies, profitability, etc Implements and maintains compliance with all government and corporate programs and policies within the location.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent Years of Related
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years related work experience (Customer Service, Sales); minimum of 4 years direct leadership experience; Route background is preferred; Service Orientation required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
